OK… I just want to let everyone know that I really did mean to start reading The Bean Trees by Kingsolver. So, in my attempt, I take the kids and my book to McDonald's. They can play while I read. Win-Win! Then another 2 stragglers jump in on the fun and soon, I am up to my eyeballs in kids. By the time I get the kids fed and discard all of the trash into the bin, I realize that along with the empty kid's meal boxes and ketchup-stained napkins, went my book. I truly thought about reaching in and trying to grab it. But ewwwwwww! So, I am off to B&N to deepen their pockets with my money. See! I should strengthen my resolve to avoid fast-food restaurants .
