We like My Utmost for His Highest by Oswald Chambers, good for every day. I really like the idea of the one by Corrie Ten Boom, haven't heard of it but hope to check it out!

My absolute favorite is Daily Light on the Daily Path compiled by the Baxter family because it is just Scripture. I read of it in many missionary biographies and finally found a 1906 copy on a used book table for $2! They have since started republishing it. There have been so many times it has spoken straight to my heart.

I also like Spurgeon's Morning by Morning and Evening by Evening. I like to use devotional books to get devotions started, to get my mind in gear.
