Angela’s Ashes really moved me, with its descriptions of the poverty he grew up in and the treatment he received from the priests for being poor.

yes the Bible…and I give of my time, talent and tithes to causes that are important to me. I also blogged about one of my causes today.

great book tie-in to blog action day and poverty, jen. I’ve read Glass Castle, and you’re right, it’s a real glimpse in american poverty. I understood the parents to be mentally off, but maybe I’m remembering it correctly.
