It's Christian fiction that weaves together an American woman's and a Vietnamese woman's stories, culminating in the American adopting the Vietnamese woman's child. (The two don't meet, or perhaps only briefly--it's a while since I read it and I am forgetting some details.) I really enjoyed the book.
